About International Design Architects,
International Design Architects (IDA) is a forward-thinking architectural firm founded in 2024 by Emre Gürsoy, Barış Başat, and Çınar Tuncer. Based in the vibrant city of Bucharest, Romania, IDA is dedicated to pioneering innovative and efficient design solutions within both architectural and urban contexts.
At the heart of IDA’s practice lies a commitment to research-driven design, aiming to uncover the most effective spatial configurations that respond to the unique challenges and opportunities of each project. The founding partners bring a wealth of diverse knowledge and experience, having successfully navigated an array of project types and fields. Their expertise spans across Master Planning, data centers, industrial facilities, university campuses, office complexes, mixed-use developments, educational institutions, and even large-scale infrastructure such as airport terminals.
IDA has already made significant strides in the industry, completing two state-of-the-art Data Center projects in collaboration with RED Engineering in Istanbul. These centers serve two of Turkey’s largest banks, alongside a similar facility in Ankara for Turkey’s leading telecommunication company. In addition, IDA has delivered a 300,000 square meter university campus, a cutting-edge ink manufacturing facility for a Japanese corporation in Manisa, Turkey, and numerous other projects of varying scales and complexities.
The partners’ extensive backgrounds in construction site management and design management complement their core focus on architectural design. Their proficiency is further enriched by substantial experience in green building practices, having contributed to various sustainable development projects in Turkey.
